Rangers’ Diary 003
Jason Scholtz
I was on a fence patrol today when I looked behind me and could not help but notice the view I had. Even though I have been working at Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve for 19 months, every once in a while I cannot help but be reminded of the magnificence of my surroundings. Kagga Kamma is situated in the Cederberg on a mountain that basically separates the Dry Mountain Fynbos from the Tankwa Karoo. As one will notice down in the valley, how drastically the environment changes from the mountains.
After sitting down for a moment in admiration I suddenly reminded myself of the job at hand and quickly got back to work.
