Shake off that “Cabin Fever” feeling...

Everlasting holiday memories
are right around the corner!

The winter days are numbered at Kagga Kamma and slowly the cold is seeping out of the rock formations; the sun is warming every day and with it the landscape is changing. We are so looking forward to spring blooming across the Nature Reserve, bearing witness to delicate flowers casting colour across the fynbos.

It seems a rather fitting opportunity to welcome you, our valued Shareholders, back to your home-away-from-home in the heart of the Cederberg.

NEED TO KNOW

As part of our ongoing mission to provide a safe holiday environment for our guests, whilst simultaneously abiding by the government-enforced regulations, as outlined in the level-5, risk adjusted strategy, please take note of the regulations which have been implemented at Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve.

Guests are required to wear a mask, which covers the nose and mouth, whilst making use of public spaces.

Security will, upon arrival, measure the temperature of each and every individual occupying the vehicle. Should any occupant’s temperature measure above 37.8°C, the vehicle will not be permitted to enter the premises.

The Restaurant and Bar, by law, is required to close at 22:00, daily. For this reason we ask that guests place last orders by 21:00. All public spaces are required to be vacated by 22:00.

Select facilities and activities may be restricted or operate at a limited capacity, as is permissible under government regulations. Please be in touch with the Lodge directly for further clarification.

Housekeeping will be kept to a minimum throughout your stay to ensure social-distancing is upheld. Please note, cleaning services are currently not available over weekends, due to current public transport (for staff) limitations. Please be in touch with the Lodge for any additional housekeeping arrangements.

Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve reserves the right to evict any persons found to be contravening these regulations. For further information,
please be in touch with the Lodge directly: lodge@kaggakamma.co.za.

We thank you for your support as we work to navigate these challenging times.

NEED TO KNOW

The Kagga Kamma Team has sorely missed the presence of our wonderful shareholders. Every arrival at Reception, every gathering around the boma at dinner and every afternoon spent laughing and splashing in the swimming pool have left imprints in our hearts, which we know we will cherish forever – we hope you feel the same. We are thus elated to finally have visitors arriving at our gates and are so appreciative of their support. Here’s what a few guests have said about their favourite ‘oasis on the edge of time’:

Testimonials

When asked what our followers miss most about Kagga Kamma:

“I love the dassies sitting on the rocks at peace with the world and the sun slowly going down behind the craggy rocks. Not forgetting a gorgeous glass of wine in my hand as daylight slips away and there is such awesome quietness as the nightlife slowly awakens.”
- Pam Lee

Testimonials

When asked about their favourite memory:

“My husband and I eloped to Kagga Kamma and had the most wonderful experience. The place is rugged, yet so beautiful and peaceful. The staff go out of their way to make you feel so special and to make your trip memorable. The food is delicious, the rooms are perfect, the staff are incredible and the guides are knowledgeable and fun! Kagga Kamma is a unique place and definitely worth the visit.”
- Mr and Mrs Berndt

Testimonials

When asked their thoughts on being able to travel again:

“Wow, wow, wow. Thank you so much to all the staff especially Chantelle, Adrian and Tania. You guys made it so worth it. We are so scared of Corona but rest assured Kagga Kamma is definitely ready and Corona-proof. From cleaning to social-distancing to sanitising. I felt safer at Kagga Kamma than I did in my own home. We will definitely be back. The food was amazing. The melt in your mouth lamb shank was to die for. I can honestly say that this was a much-needed break and it was well worth it. The staff was so helpful and friendly and no matter what they always made sure that we were fine. Thanks Tania and team. See you guys soon.”
