Happy Holidays in the Western Cape
The Western Cape has holiday resorts aplenty. There is something for everyone – beach bunnies, water babies, entertainment junkies, leisure seekers, and avid outdoor adventurers. You name it and the Western Cape is almost certain to provide it, whatever type of holiday, location, resort, and activity that you care to imagine.
Distinctly Different from the Norm
Your dream holiday may, however, be one that is completely different from the norm, in a holiday resort that is unique and unlike any other in the Western Cape or elsewhere in South Africa. As it is, South Africa’s Western Cape Province is extremely popular as a holiday destination, largely due to its scenic beauty and diversity of its people, places, and resorts. Yet it seems that this region still manages to surprise its visitors and holidaymakers by revealing even more of itself if you care to look.
Hauntingly Beautiful Cederberg
The mould was broken during the millennia when the Cederberg in the Western Cape wilderness was created, because there is no other place akin to the hauntingly beautiful Cederberg anywhere else in this country. The same may be said about our resort, Kagga Kamma, in the heart of the Cederberg.
Comforts and Amenities Aplenty
Kagga Kamma is a preferred resort for nature lovers, romantic couples, and people who enjoy the outdoors, fantastic scenery, and all the diversity that nature offers. Despite being located in such a wild, unspoilt area and private nature reserve, Kagga Kamma offers guests welcoming comforts and amenities, even including an excellent a-la-carte restaurant, outdoor dining area (weather permitting), cosy bar with satellite television, Wi-Fi, and an indulgent spa with a brand-new, open-air massage area.
Our guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting their holiday accommodation at Kagga Kamma:
• “Cave” rooms – set in amongst natural sandstone rock formations of the Western Cape Cederberg, our ten “caves” peek out almost imperceptibly from the worn rocks onto which they back. Their amenities include air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms with bathrobes and complimentary toiletries, and tea/coffee-making facilities.
• Hut suites – these five spacious huts were inspired by the shelters of the ancient San people who once inhabited the Cederberg region. They have the same amenities as the cave rooms.
• Chalets – available to certain timeshare holiday members.
• Camping – two campsites, one consisting of five stands without power but with a communal ablution facility with hot water and a swimming pool, and the second site that has no facilities at all, only the rugged, natural beauty of this part of the Western Cape.
Couples staying in the caves or huts while on holiday at Kagga Kamma may additionally book a night under the stars, during the appropriate season and providing that the weather permits, in one of our outdoor rooms.
You will need to book your holiday resort accommodation at Kagga Kamma for a while if you intend participating in all our activities, which include nature drives, walks, hikes, rock climbing and bouldering, 4×4 and quadbike trails, rock-art tours, stargazing tours and, of course, relaxing and indulging your mind, body, and soul in the inimitable Western Cape Cederberg.
